Based on Bernard Waber's bestselling Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile book series, starring Academy Award® winner Javier Bardem (2007, Best Supporting Actor, No Country for Old Men), Constance Wu and Shawn Mendes as Lyle, a live-action/CGI Musical Das brings this beloved character to a new global audience. When the Primm family (Wu, Scoot McNairy, Winslow Fegley) moves to New York, their young son Josh has a hard time adjusting to his new school and new friends. Everything changes when she discovers that Lyle - a singing crocodile (Mendes) who loves baths, caviar and good music - lives in the attic of his new home. They become fast friends, but when Lyle's life is threatened by an evil neighbor, Mr. Grumps (Brett Gelman), the Primms must team up with Lyle's charismatic landlord, Hector P.Valenti (Bardem) to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected of places and that there's nothing wrong with a big singing crocodile with even more personality.
